Providing station keeping, constellation management and deorbiting to the small satellite market, MAPS is a highly configurable, compact satellite propulsion system, complete with high-performance capabilities. MAPS has been demonstrated and proven on a 3u CubeSat and is compatible for many satellites, such as a 6u CubeSat and larger.
MAPS is an array of high performance, hermetically-sealed, solid propellant rocket motors which extends the orbital life of CubeSats, SmallSats and provides propulsion capability for small upper stages. Our MAPS satellite propulsion system can be used for orbital maneuvers and deorbit with very precise and predictable delivered impulse. The module has no tanks, valves, tubing or heaters, making it a “plug and play” bolt-on design. MAPS is instant on with a 10+ year life, uses very low power, has three independent inhibits against firing, and provides variable thrust by firing in pairs, triples, quads, etc. MAPS is adaptable and scalable and fits in unused separation system or other spacecraft real-estate.
Our MAPS CubeSat thrusters are customized for CubeSat propulsion systems configurations at least 3u CubeSat or larger. Interested in our Powered Modular Architecture Propulsion System (P-MAPS™)?
